At the Resting Place of the Dragon Titan…

The Krokonomicon from the sky returned to the ground as steps echoed through the empty chamber and were collected by the hands of a woman.

Or was she… a mere woman?

“Finally, back to where it belongs.” She muttered under her breath with the books in her hands and a spell marked, “Malistaire, you got what I told you what you would find, the treasure of peace and unity with your wife. You even got to meet your daughter, pity it was in a duel with her best friend by her side. But you did good for me and me alone… for now at least.”

She then stepped closer to the Titan, slumbering peacefully in his eternal sleep.

“I think you’ve been napping long enough. It’s time for a little family reunion to be made and it requires all the family.”

With the flick of her wrist and the power of the incantation written long ago, the spell reanimates the dragon titan, who bellows with great power.

“I AM RISEN!!” He declared in a powerful voice while his loyal servants cheered for his return to the spiral.

“Yes, and needing a breath mint. Too much morning breath among the wind smells worse than sulfur in the deepest parts of the world.” The hooded woman joked while waving her hand from the smell.

“WHO DARES-!”

“Oh, now, no need to raise your voice at me. Don’t you remember me? I know it has been a long time and I may have changed as well.”

The woman then pulled her hood to reveal the face of the great Balance Wizard and Teacher of the Great Magics, “Silkworm? Is that you, sister? You look different.”

“Yes well, most call me Lady Silkkiäistoukka Ensimmäinen now, but whatever suits you. It looks like my book has worked.” She proudly declared.

“Oh, dearest sister, thank you for freeing me from sleep. I knew you were my favorite sibling.” He adored the little woman.

“I think your tune would soon change after you figure out what is really going on?”

She then hummed a song, a song too familiar as the Fire Titan felt the pull of sleep for a moment.

“The Song of Sleep! But how-?”

“Cute little ditty, huh? Uncle thought so and my melody did pretty well as did my second song.” She hinted as the Dragon Titan felt the heavy hammer of realization.

“You taught Bartleby the song?!!?”

“As well as other things. But that doesn’t matter now-.”

“You betrayed us-!”

“Let me talk.”

The Dragon Titan was enveloped with the shock of betrayal but allowed her to speak, still holding love for her.

“You are the only Titan awake right now. The other two are still asleep and I know where they are. You could easily destroy them and take over the entire Spiral. But only that, but I can make sure you never sleep again, ever again.” Lady Silkkiäistoukka Ensimmäinen offered as the Dragon Titan’s eyes lightened with joy.

“Sister, how generous-?”

“Not so. I will not give these things for free. You can gain the knowledge in a duel… with me.” She informed stunning her brother.

“WHAT?!? No, I would never hurt you!! You don’t even have magic!!”

“Oh, but I do. I do.”

Her brother looked at her.

“You have changed, Sister.”

“Much so. So, here is my offer. Duel me, a simple duel with no minions, no charms, wards, shields, or traps, nor healing and win and you can rule overall, even our parents and uncle. But if I win, I get everything from you, magic, minions, you, everything you have, everything you belong to me.” She proposed to her brother, “Do you have a deal?”

The Dragon Titan was hesitant, but how could he refuse? He hated the idea, but he could not resist the lure of power.

“I accept.”

“Excellent. Here, you can go first.” She offered then, taking a few steps back and waiting for her brother with open arms, “You might want to hurry before Grandmother Raven or Bartleby catches wind.”

The Dragon Titan then presented, with great reluctance his great, primal Fire Magic as the colorful flames enveloped the woman as the armies were gathering at the castle! He expected her to be injured, alive but defeated. But to his surprise, she was unharmed, bored and waiting.

“HOW!?!”

“Surprised? Well, years of traveling and shaping my wonderful Spiral have done wonders for me. In fact, I learned what kind of titan I am and created my own magic. Want to see?” She mocked before presenting a powerful form of magic to her brother as he toppled like a tower of cards, “It is called Balance, and speaking of Balance, it’s time to even the scales.”

“Sister… wh-what are you doing?” The Dragon Titan breathed before realizing he was disintegrating.

“Still the vain and power-hungry reptile I remembered, huh? Pity, have you forgotten our deal? You’re mine and everything that comes with you.”

The Fire Titan howls as he is transformed into a ring and is adorned in his sister’s hand. The subjects of the Dragon Titan stared in horror then bowed to their new master, for she was their titan now.

“Congrats, My Queen, your plan worked without a hitch, and no one was the wiser!!” Zarathax proudly declared and bowed to her.

“All in all, it went quite well. Excellent work bringing them here and making sure Malistaire did his part. You have been a very worthy disciple to balance.” She smiled as she petted the Draconian’s cheek, “Your reward is Dragonspyre as its king. Rebuild it to suit the needs of the Age of the Silkworm.”

“Yes, my Queen. Our ally, Kol Shadowsong informs you of our second inquisition of your unworthy brothers.” He informed while the lady presented a crown for him to wear.

“Perfect, now, try not to let it slip of my identity to my new friends. I want it to be a surprise.”

“Yes, my Queen.”

In Jotengard of the Lair of the Ice Titan…

His sons, Austri, Nordri, Sudri, and Vestri were watching their terrible father sleep again as they wanted to celebrate their victory.

“Good riddance, let’s not have the Ravens or our blast father ruin our fun.” Austri declared with pride.

“Then I must have come here at a pretty rotten time then.”

All the Giant Brothers turned around to see a woman in a coat with Kol Shadowsong by her side approach.

“Traitorous Raven!!! You dare return here and who are you!!” Vestri thundered as the brothers were prepared for battle.

The woman pretended to look hurt, “He never told you about me? That’s just hurtful and even more so you would even point weapons at me, me of all people. I even got you a gift.” The hooded woman dramatically fretted, pretending to be hurt by those words.

Before the brothers realized it, they were trapped in sand and water!!!

“It’s a portable beach, one you can’t run away from!! Surprise!!”

“He is ready for you, My Queen,” Kol informed as he presented the seals.

“Perfect and with the Dragon Titan’s flame I can melt the spell.” She declared with her ring.

“WHAT?!?!” The brothers gasped as they realized the ring was the Dragon Titan, feeling his burning fire!!

“You enslaved the Dragon Titan?!?! Impossible!!” Sudri gasped, for no one has ever defeated a Titan.

“Not really, I can make impossible possible. Now watch, listen, and understand.”

She destroyed the seals and runes as the spell of sleep was no more and the Titan awakened.

“Awe, he kept my pet name of him, taking it as his own. Ymir… How sentimental.” She fonded with a fakely sweet tone.

“Your pet name? Wait-!”

Before the realization was known, she clamped the brother’s mouth shut with sand.

“Shh… Just watch, listen, and understand.”

The Giant Titan awoke with the hammer in hand as he howled with revelry!

“I AM RISEN!!!”

“Are you lot just single-minded parrots or what?”

He looked down and realized instantly who it was as her energy was familiar.

“Silkworm? Sister?” Ymir gasped as he looked down on her, forgetting of the ever-winter once thought he would bring.

It seems her presence postpones it.

“Oh goodie! Brother and I woke you up. Want to see him?” She smiled and then presented the ring on her finger.

“Brother? You? Enthralled? By her? Hah! That’s hilarious that our sweet magicless little sister!!” The Ice Titan Cackled by the hilarity of it all.

“Brother, be careful!! She is not powerless!!! She’s the one who put us to sleep and arranged the Titan War!!!”

“Hey, I was going to tell him that. Rude. Well, it’s true, I’m the reason you went to sleep, and I was the one who… nudged you all into beating each other.” She proudly admitted.

“WHAT?!?!”

“I am also the one who woke you up. Thanks to some of my friends, I was able to find you and made sure that only a few knew what was really going on.” She informed her brother, who foamed with rage!!

“YOU DARE MAKE A FOOL OF ME?!?! ME?!?! YMIR THE ICE TITAN, TRUE RULER OF THE WORLD?!?!”

“It’s not a world anymore, more of a spiral and you are not the ruler, you were never its titan. That title belongs to me. Now, I want to make a deal, a duel.”

“DON’T LISTEN TO HER!! YOU CAN’T WIN!!! SHE’LL TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU!!!” The Dragon Titan Warned while the brothers looked fearful.

“Bah, no one tells me what to do!!! What’s the deal??”

“See this ring, see brother as the ring? You can have his magic and your revenge, and I’ll even tell you where the Storm Titan is slunking about. But only in a duel, a simple duel with no minions, no charms, wards, shields or traps, nor healing, I won’t even use brother’s magic too. If you win, you get his magic, and I’ll tell you everything. But… if I win, I get everything from you, magic, minions, you, everything you have, everything you belong to me.” She proposed, like she did with her brother, “Deal?”

The Ice Titan held great pride in his skills in battle and desired to taunt his siblings on his greatness. This would be too easy, and he can teach his older sister, more like a little sister, a lesson.

“Deal.”

“YOU FOOL!! YOU CAN’T WIN!!”

“He’s right, you can’t.” He proudly smirked while the sister smirked as well.

“Here, I’ll even be a good sport and let you go first.” She offered while stretching out her arms and waiting for her brother.

“Bah, it was over before it was started…”

His hammer came down like a thundering force as the primordial form of ice came down upon her head, for her to be frozen forever!!!

But she wasn’t.

Ymir gasped as his hammer was being held by one dainty finger of his sister, who was yawning and as bored as the previous duel.

“Really? This is the Ever Winter? At least, I was hoping for a snow day with hot pumpkin coffee and a good book near an open fire. This, is barely a frost.” She sighed with disappointment, “I was hoping you would do better than our brother.”

“You-! No-! HOW?!?!” He gasped in shock.

“Oh well, you tried to give me a snow day… so I’ll give you a beach day.”

The hammer broke and transformed into sand and water as it swirled into a massive tornado of sand and water!!

A sandstorm or waterspout?

No one knows!?!?

It enveloped the Ice Titan, swallowing him as he swirled about.

“Around and around and around he goes~!” She sang as the Ice Titan was flung into the air and then crashed down.

The brothers gasped.

Their father… lost?

She beat him without any effort.

“Well, I win, and you know what that means…”

Just as what happened to the Dragon Titan, the Ice Titan disintegrated then transformed into a ring and is adorned in his sister’s hand.

“Ah, Ice and Fire.” She breathed then Kol bowed to her.

“Congratulations~!” He declared as he was petted by the lady.

“Well done, Kol, you will rule Wintertusk as promised but in secret until my big reveal. Just keep working behind the scenes, like me.”

“Thank you, oh great Queen. The Wizards suspected nothing, nor did silly Raven.”

“Yeah well, she always underestimated me, they all did. But that’s all going to change. We will put on hold the Storm Titan for now. He still has a role. For now, it’s time for Morganthe to wake up from her nap…”

“What of the brothers?” Kol wondered as she turned to them.

“My nephews will come home with me, be part of the family reunion and for the Age of the Silkworm. My coming of age and the spirals.”

She then disappeared with Titans, brother Giants, and all, only the servant remained and the coven that served her.
